The first National Conference on ICCAs in the Philippines, 29-30 March, 2012, University of Philippines, Quezon City, Manila, Philippines.  

This conference, solely dedicated to the subject of ICCAs, was a momentous event for drawing attention to ICCAs both within the Philippines, as well as the global context....

Bringing together Indigenous Peoples’ leaders from ancestral domains representing the Philippines’ key biodiversity areas, local and international NGOs, UN agencies, and cooperation agencies from numerous countries, the conference explored the current status of ICCAs, and ways to fully recognize and appropriately support them in the country.
